Nusa Lembongan an exotic island in Bali
Cozyresort.com - Many tourist do not know that Bali has three smaller islands there are Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. From those three islands, the island of Nusa Lembongan is the most frequently visited by tourists.
In Bali, many cruise travel agents offering trips to explore that three islands. When cozyresort.com have opportunity to visit one of the travel agents, unfortunately many cruise tourism full booked so inevitably we can only choose the only tour to Nusa Lembongan.
Cruise tour to Nusa Lembongan
To follow this cruise tour, we are required to pay for $65 per person which includes the cost of transport to and from the hotel, breakfast, lunch, ground transportation tickets at Nusa Lembongan and sports facilities as water sports.
We were picked up at 8:30 am the driver who will deliver to Benoa Harbour. At 9:30 the passengers allowed to board the ship. Ship is arguably a cruise ship size is very large and consists of three decks.
The first deck is the main deck is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. While the second and third deck contains all of the outdoor seating, offering vast ocean view. After breakfast on board, we were off to Nusa Lembongan at 10.00.
After an hour across the sea, till we was in the waters of Nusa Lembongan. To reach the island, we were required to board smaller. Arriving to Nusa Lembongan, we brought up the pickup truck that had been given a makeshift roof and extends from the wooden seat.
This trip is quite exciting because through the woods and up and down the street. Arriving in the village of Nusa Lembongan, we were invited to a place that replicates the seaweed. Majority of the villagers is a seaweed farmer for living.
Behind this island looks the land area covered by dried seaweed. Seaweeds are later exported to USA and even Japan. In the morning at low tide, the farmers will come down to the sea and harvesting seaweed. Around the village, seen a lot of small stalls selling seaweed products are processed into crackers, jam, lunkhead, and so on.
Once finished look seaweed breeding locations, we were taken to a cave that is located in the middle of the village of Nusa Lembongan. Cave called Gua Gala Gala is a cave which was built by a sculptor as well as local religious leaders in 1961 as a place of meditation.
There are several cave entrance that looks like a round hole and there is a ladder that will take you heading down to a depth of ten meters. In it, the cave resembles a maze of cubicles that have used as a place of meditation.
Lunch in cruses at Nusa Lembongan Sea
The time has showed at 12.00 noon, we were invited back to the big boat for lunch. On the ship, a row of buffet had been prepared. Also varied food menu of traditional Balinese dishes to many international menu using seafood as the main ingredient.
The ship has two floors of the first floor contains the kitchen, bathroom, dining area, bar and daycare stuff. While the second floor contains a lounging area for sunbathing and relaxing place. The ship is also equipped with a large slide that can be used those who want to swim in the sea.
After lunch, we should be free to do water sports such as canoeing boat rides, banana boats, snorkeling and diving. For snorkeling and diving, we were required to climb into small boats that would bring to a location that has beautiful coral reefs. There, the officers provide the necessary equipment.
Although large waves made us vacillate and sea ice cold when it makes us shiver, experience snorkeling in the waters of Nusa Lembongan is very satisfying. Views of the beautiful coral reefs and a variety of fish species that come swim with us to make this a memorable experience.
